Subject: Re: [ubl-hisc] Revised XPath files for UBL 1.0 SBS 0.5candidate

Greetings Ken, Greetings HISC,

A few points regarding the Xpath files:

1. I have some files ready to send for UBL-1.0-SBS-1.0-beta (just waiting for these
formats to stabilise and for the SBSC to officially form at the end of this week)

2. Minor detail: the *-Instance.xml files have an extra ">" in the xml declaration

3. I was sort of expecting to see XPaths in the *-XPath.xml files as content to the elements

Otherwise this all looks very encouraging indeed.

Good job Ken; Excellent.

You had asked about whether to document the schema(s) of the xml files with RelaxNG
- any chance of doing so with W3C Schema too?

Are you ready for the SBS beta files? There are two changes just in the Order document
- removal of PaymentMeans and with it CardAccount
- addition of SalesConditions/Description

Jon announced that this SBS would be pushed through to committee draft quickly
(so folks can get on with using it) with a bit of a public review in the process. I hope the beta
can be the basis of a review and then, with any necessary changes, it can be moved to 'cd'
status.

So we'll need these file formats for that too :-)

Many thanks Ken

All the best

Steve

Fellow HISC members,

I've completed what I think are all of the requested revisions for the
XPath information file formats and I have prepared the files for the SBS
0.5 candidate:

http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/11693/UBL-1.0-SBS-0.5-XPath-20050307.zip

Based on feedback for these new formats I will update the UBL 1.0 XPath
files accordingly when we think the formats are satisfactory.

Having added cardinality as requested, and now including the "branch"
elements and not just the "leaf" elements, I'm very pleased at the new
utility I've found in these reports. I'm hoping others will find this
format useful.

I look forward to comments.

....................... Ken
