In preparation for the meeting, I'll propose following up Marion's list 
with groupings the following groupings:

Scenarios:
    Office
    Joinery
    UNxxx  (I'll suffix the UN with the form number)

Document Types:
    Ord
    OrdCan
    OrdRespSim
    OrdRespCom
    DespAdv
    Inv
    RectAdv

File types (here I don't think we need "Inst", just distinguishing 
filenames for possibly multiple input files):

    (scenario)(documentType)1.xml     - data file 1
    (scenario)(documentType)2.xml     - data file 2

Stylesheets:

    (scenario)(documentType).xsl      - stylesheet file for A4 PDF
    (scenario)(documentType)-us.xsl   - stylesheet file for US Letter PDF
    (scenario)(documentType)-html.xsl - stylesheet file for HTML

Documentation:

    FS(documentType).html           - index file to scenarios for document type
    FS(scenario)(documentType).html - individual formatting specification

The results of transformation to guarantee unique file names

    (scenario)(documentType)1.pdf
    (scenario)(documentType)1-us.pdf
    (scenario)(documentType)1.html
    (scenario)(documentType)2.pdf
    (scenario)(documentType)2-us.pdf
    (scenario)(documentType)2.html
