| mm1: Perhaps this is an opportunity to get the players together
| from the NIST interoperability sessions (automotive, shipbuilding,
| government, aerospace, technology, chemical/petroleum) to formally
| take their code lists endeavor into a standards body
| collaboratively.  It seems to be important to many industry
| players - users and implementers alike.

A NIST-sponsored OASIS TC to develop public-domain code lists
using a common XML format would be a major step toward real
interoperability, that's for sure.

Perhaps this is something we can take up with NIST after we get
1.0 Beta out.
