But they're not entitled to two leaves of absence per calendar
year; they're only entitled to one.  They might get a second one,
but only if the TC votes to allow it on an individual basis.

But this doesn't say that the leave of absence ends at the instant
the member does one of these things.  It really does need to be
more specific than that.

I'm rewriting this whole section on the basis of your and Robin's
suggestions; I'll post a revised draft in a separate message.
