Subject: WS Calendar requirements
Now I think I have another requirement -- one that's short enough to write before the call and which comes from today's occurrence of our call... Times (which I usually prefer to have in UTC) should be represented in Local Time when the meeting will shift with the whims of a particular time-zone choice that is "being the host" of the event. DTSTART:20100319T160000Z DTSTART;TZID=US-Eastern:20100319T120000 The above represents the same time but only if the iCalendar was made AFTER the change to daylight-savings time (DST) in the host region. Otherwise (if made BEFORE the change in DST), the UTC (Z) time will be 170000Z. This brings us to support for VTIMEZONE. A longer discussion. Kind Regards, - Jeremy
