Subject: Issue 050 - WS-Discovery - The UUIDs URIs do not use UUID URNNamespace defined by RFC 4122
This issue is assigned the number 050. For further
discussions on this issue, please refer to this issue number or use this
thread. From: Vipul Modi Please defer discussions on this issue until a time this
issue is accepted and is assigned a number. Description: The current specification recommends using a stable unique
identifier as a “uuid:” scheme URI for the endpoint address. There is however
no definition of the “uuid:” URI scheme. The UUID based URI are expressed as
URN as defined in the RFC 4122. Proposed Resolution: -
Recommend the use of UUID URN as the endpoint address
URI. The UUID URN should be constructed as per RFC 4122. -
A reference to RFC 4122 should be added in the references
section. This reference should be used in Section 2.6 when providing
recommendation for [address] property of Endpoint Reference. -
Various examples in the specification use uuid: URIs
message IDs. They should be changed to use UUID URNs. Attached is the document with change bars. Vipul |
