Description:

Microsoft has some restrictions on the secure device exposed metadata and certificate content.

Should they be generalized and put into device profile?

(security model requirements for secure device's communications currently differ from Vista - "Secure WSD Device/Client Development" in MSDN - to Win7 - "Security Model for WSD Device" -.

Should the new version of the specification give more specific requirements for secure devices that clients need to follow?

Proposed Resolution:

Add recommendations and restrictions directly in DPWS.

ws-dd message
