1. Agenda review
Agenda adopted.
2. Validate election of new SC members
Results of the WS-I Steering Committee election:
Joel Fleck (HP), Ram Jeyaraman(Microsoft), and Prasad Yendluri (Software AG) have won reelection, and Anish Karmarkar (Oracle) was newly elected.
All four will serve a two-year term through December 2014 and will join current SC Members Mike DeNicola (Fujitsu), Doug Davis (IBM), and Micah Hainline (Asynchrony Solutions) and Gershon Janssen.
The Committee confirmed the election of Joel Fleck (HP), Ram Jeyaraman (Microsoft), and Prasad Yendluri (Software AG) and Anish Karmarkar (Oracle) to the Steering Committee. (Anish was newly elected as a replacement for Jeff Mischkinsky from Oracle.) All four will serve until the December 2014 election and will join current Steering Committee Members Mike DeNicola (Fujitsu), Doug Davis (IBM), and Micah Hainline (Asynchrony Solutions) and Gershon Janssen (Independent).
This election resulted in a seat remaining open.
3. Elect new officers
The following new officers have been unanimously elected:
- Mike D. elected Chair
- Joel F. elected Vice-Chair
- Gershon Janssen elected Secretary
4. Member Section SC size
The WS-I SC election resulted in one seat remaining open. The Steering Committee must vote to select one of the following options:
- To accept the results and automatically reduce the size of the Steering Committee and amend the ROP without further action required by the Steering Committee or OASIS Board.
- To initiate a nomination period leading to a Special Election.
- Leave any open seats to be filled at the next annual election.
The SC choose to re-open nominations for the vacant seat. Mike (chair) will inform Scott about the SC's choice.
Gershon will check with Jacques Durand (chair of TC of WS-BRSP) to see if there is any interest from members of the WS-BRSP TC.
