Subject: RE: [wsrf] ISSUE: Should resource lifetime require WS-Resource.
All, (and particularly those not at the recent face-to-face) A few subtle changes were made to terminology at the face-to-face which may cause confusion. Namely that according to the new WS Resource spec, a WS-Resource MUST conform to WS-RP, but MAY conform to WS-RL. So ,we can draw a picture like the attached of the different kinds of Web services. (See attached file: What is a WS Resource.jpg) Sam's issue asks whether Web services which implement WS-RL are also required to implement WS-RP. If not, they shouldn't be called WS Resources, but we don't actually have a name to call them by. (Yet?) Regards, Tim Banks
