Subject: Re: [xliff-promotion] Re: Vote on XLIFF as OASIS Standard

Dear JoAnn, great thanks for helping us out and for your vote on behalf of Comtech!

From your list that Bryan posted, the primaries were already nudged by a TC owner or their contact in the following cases:

OASIS Members Status TC Owner Pri Rep Voted "YES"
ARM Limited Philip FWD to Charles, dF pinged Philip Gee dF, JoAnn Charles Hall
Mekon Ltd. Bryan pinged Mark Poston Bryan, JoAnn Mark Poston
Schneider Electric Industries SAS Joel Fleck II notified Joachim, JoAnn Joel Fleck II
VMware, Inc. DONE JoAnn Winston Bumpus 7/29/2014

So I would not ping them again unless they fail to vote by the end of this week.

The following do not have XLIFF TC owners, so you have free form:

Bluestream JoAnn Jim Tivy
Citrix Systems JoAnn Shishir Padikar
Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. JoAnn Vanessa Glover
NetApp JoAnn Subhash Sankuratripati

In case of Huawei you should be aware that Felix Sasaki asked the W3C AC re to notify their OASIS representative.

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Felix pinged Mr. Sun Felix Fang You

We did not hear from Mr. Sun if he notified Fang You, so I guess it should be OK to notify directly.

Cheers and thanks again
dF

With our very much appreciated friends of XLIFF helping us, and with the momentum going well today, I will wait until tomorrow to see who on the list is not yet *assigned* - and I will send a personal plea to them from the chair.

Thanks,

PTC: Karen Combe is out until Aug-4th, her fallback told me she may read her emails before.

TYPO3: Oliver Dobberkau said he will look at it.

Mitre: Jennifer DeCamp said she would tell the primary contact.

Got confirmation from Siemens that primary contact received notice.
Sent mail to primary contact for HP, no reply yet.

I am on vacation until August 14th, and infrequently at my mail

After the weekend, we have now 19 YES votes.

Our friends from the DITA committee started voting, JoAnn Hackos cast her vote on behalf of Comtech.

From XLIFF TC members we are still missing votes from IBM, LRC, and Oracle.

25 YES votes still needed for a successful approval.

Please use your contacts in the membership organizations to make their primary representatives aware of the ballot.

If you plan to reach out or have already, please let me know and I'll record that on P&L subcommittee tracker to avoid harmful crossfire.

You can see for every company if they had cast their ballot or not here:

Cheers

The great news is that we've recorded 6 YES votes in first 12 hours of the ballot

SDL was the first TC member organization to cast their vote.
