Subject: RE: [xliff] Working Draft - link to XLIFF examples for specific object types
Hi Yves, I wonder if the XLIFF WD should provide links to what I would term 'canonical XLIFF representations for specific object types'. My feeling is the following: * If we ask several people to create XLIFF representations for a specific object type (e.g. Java property files), we end up with several representation alternatives. * We could foster uniformity of representation if we as a TC explicitly publish 'desired' representations for specific object types. The WD could link to these representations. Best, Christian -----Original Message----- From: Yves Savourel [mailto:ysavourel@translate.com] Sent: Freitag, 12. I didn't include the proposal for <reformat> nor <tool> in it yet. I'm still looking into how to allow extending attribute values. I suppose you can define your own list of types and import the pre-defined one, but that is akward for validation. It would be nice to fine a way to have to change only imported files, so the reference to the main XSDs would remain the same regardless whether or not you have your own extension. I hope some of you have ideas for this, because I can see I'm running out... Have a great week-end -yves
