Subject: RE: [xri] PLEASE REVIEW: WD11 Section 8 (Yadis) proposed text
Nat, The Yadis spec at yadis.org (http://yadis.org/papers/yadis-v1.0.pdf) does not specify any HTTP(S) success or failure codes. The reasons (as I remember them) were: a) it's just standard HTTP(S), so all the standard HTTP(S) error codes apply, and b) if the HTTP(S) server you are talking to doesn't know anything about XRDS documents, it's simply going to give you standard HTTP response codes anyway. I suppose we could add a sentence saying that the standard HTTP response codes defined in RFC 2616 apply. Would that help? =Drummond -----Original Message----- From: Nat Sakimura [mailto:n-sakimura@nri.co.jp] Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2007 12:09 AM To: Drummond Reed Cc: xri@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: Re: [xri] PLEASE REVIEW: WD11 Section 8 (Yadis) proposed text Hi. Don't we need to specify the HTTP status code for both success and failure? Also, what should be returned for the failure case, especially when HEAD request was used?
