Subject: [announce] OASIS Member News: REPUBLICA AND ICL INVIA EXTENDED THEIRRESELLER AGREEMENT

REPUBLICA AND ICL INVIA EXTENDED THEIR RESELLER AGREEMENT

X-Fetch Technology Available for the Entire Fujitsu Group

Republica Corp., which specialises in XML-based data processing, and the Nordic information technology service house and operator, ICL Invia Ltd., extend their cooperation. The new VAR (Value Added Reseller) agreement now brings Republica's X-Fetch technology within the reach of the Japanese market as well.

Republica and ICL Invia started their cooperation already during the year 2000. The new contract deepens and expands also the technology cooperation between the two companies. In addition to reselling Republica's software components, ICL Invia will also use the components while developing and building their own operative systems.

"We have seen a great demand for the X-Fetch technology in the Nordic countries. As part of the Fujitsu group, ICL Invia wants to offer its parent company the technologies it has found favourable," said Antti Kytömäki, Director, R&D of ICL Invia. "X-Fetch Suite is perfect for ICL Invia's multi-channel solution, SDA (Service Delivery Architecture), as it, for instance, facilitates integration and data conversion between different systems."

"We are really satisfied with our cooperation with ICL Invia, which is even closer than before. The technology cooperation regarding X-Fetch Suite is a significant step for us, as hundreds of technologies are offered to ICL Invia annually, and only a small part of them get evaluated and even a smaller part actually put to use," said Timo Airaksinen, VP, Product Business of Republica. "Our new VAR agreement opens new opportunities for us in the fast growing Asian market."
