Recognized Web Services Expert Brings Extensive Architecture and Engineering Experience to SOA Software

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 3, 2005 – SOA Software, the leading provider of comprehensive SOA security, management and provisioning solutions, today announced that Shamik Sharma has joined the company as product director. A co-founder and chief architect of Confluent, later acquired by Oblix, Sharma is responsible for guiding the direction of SOA Software’s enterprise product lines and will establish the company’s first office in India.

Prior to co-founding Confluent, Sharma worked as a lead engineer on HP’s e-Speak initiative and in various capacities at Hewlett-Packard Research Labs. HP’s e-Speak was the first Web services platform and a key component of HP’s e-services campaign.
