Subject: Re: [business-transaction] the issue of issues and the forthcoming ftf
Peter - This sounds like a good way to deal with the issues. I am somewhat amused by how far the process is moving toward existing formal standards processes; for example, in the IEEE any issue must have text or clear directions for changing it. A major part of the evolution of IEEE standards is determining which objections are non-responsive, i.e., do not give a specific fix. The benefit of this existing formal procedure is that one can move toward closure more rapidly. In the BTP case, however, the collegial dealing with minor issues has a lot to recommend it. I would urge anyone further submitting issues to include text and/or specific changes that would satisfy the issue/objection, just as Peter has suggested. bill cox Peter Furniss wrote: > Bill, > > I will raise this at today's conference call (Alastair will only be on the > call at the beginning - other committments), but I'd like to give you and > others some warning (sorry Californians) > > A lot of the issues seem to be fairly straight-forward - there may be a > technical element, but they are just one-line fixes or something of no > general import.
