Subject: QUESTION of "neutrality"

I've got a question that has started to come up internally as a result of reviews by our architecture staff.

As we go through the process of acquiring plugin products for the web environment, our architecture staff is pushing for all plugin applications to be platform and browser neutral. It hasn't become a big issue yet to get a variance, but it may begin to pose obstacles in the future. I don't know if Boeing, as a user, is unique in this respect, but I would expect other users are beginning to face the same issue. This isn't just a CGM plugin issue, but applies to all plugins.

Can I get vendor comments on this? Either to me directly or to the group.

thx...Dave Cruikshank
