Subject: Re: [chairs] Individual members representation?


Sorry to have had a dampening effect on the discussion. I certainly 
don't want to discourage any good ideas or suggestions, and this list is 
a good way for me to hear how you, the TC chairs, feel about things. I 
just wanted to point out that you, collectively, cannot make decisions 
regarding policy. It's up to the Board to decide policy and staff to 
implement it. But I'm more than happy to report to the Board when I hear 
of any sort of collective opinion; this *has* influenced policy and 
process in the past.
