Subject: Changes to xNL and xCIL
Hi all Recently, I came across a Vetinary doctor who was talking to me about e-business and standards for representing customer data, etc. I then mentioned about xCIL and xNAL. He was impressed. Then, he raised this interesting question. "Our customers are living species excluding human beings" in our database. Do you cater for such type of name and address? GOOD POINT! The data in Vetinary hospitals somewhat look like this. TIGER (Dog) C/o Ram Kumar 23 Albert Avenue Chatswood, NSW 2067 Australia Phone: Fax: Age: Date of Birth: Sex: Physical Characteristics: Color, height, weight, marks A customer is a customer whether it is a dog or human or a company. We have to cater for all types of customer name and address data if we claim that xNAL and xCIL represents global customer data. I therefore, spent about 10 minutes to fix the xNAL and xCIL to cater for this data set. What do you think?
