Julian,

this is not 'so easily'.  We had a long discussion on this.  The net take-away was no vendor supports this functionality today.  No vendor (present) would expose properties of this type.  At that point, how useful is it to have in the specification?

I don't see pushing this to the client.  This is removing false advertising that this is capable in ECM when vendors don't support it.

I feel the right approach is to get some vendors to implement this (e.g., must be client demand to make them do so).  Once more than 1 has done so, then add it to the spec.  Adding it before those things occur is asking for trouble.
