I like the idea of bulk operations as well. Extending the idea to other operations may even increase the level of adoption. One possible use case is to create a batch of documents in target repository. A batch can easily contain hundreds of documents. With bulk operation capability, hundreds of createDocument calls could be eliminated and down to one bulk call. Performance and overhead may be reduced.
