Comments on Blue Requirements Draft
Roger and
team,
I have
reviewed the latest verison of LegalXML System Blue Functional and Non
Functional Requirements
Working Draft 08, 4 April 2005. I thought the document was in very good shape
overall. I only found some minor things to mention, almost all of them grammatical.
Nice job.
Regards,
james
158 -
missing period
192 - missing period
236 - not a safe assumption that the CMS will calculate fees, could be anohter
system or process
298 - awkward sentance, no object
300 - typo in "filing would a judge" should read "filing would
be a judge"
562 - incomplete sentance "Requestor's interaction with the system
to retrieve data"
618 - typo "to accept a the request" should be "to accept [a or
the] request"
619 - agreement problem "a request results" should be "a resust
result"
713 - this may be just a style thing, but the following sentance bothers me
"A Major Design Element (MDE) that prepares and submits filings to a court
for review and receives the results of that process" as it does not have
any active verb and as a result no object, seems like Word's grammar checker
doesn't mind but I do, also it is missing a period.
745 - "other data were recorded" should be "was
recorded"
833 - Word complains about "persits" in this phrase "Filing MDE
persists the data", and it complains repeatedly wherever this is used in
this fashion, the consturct doesn't bother me, however, it may be something to
change
844 - take should be takes
892 - I would prefer "An MDE" to "A MDE", but again
stylistic
894 - "It" is unspecified, not a clear reference to the multiple
nouns in previous sentance, did you mean to refer to the MDE, Filings, or
Clrek?
928 - "subscriber to the events publication." is a little awkward for
me, perhaps "subscriber to the publication of events" works better
1263 - the steps look incomplete, should at least send the message back to the
requester, not spelled out
1305 - again, message is assembled but not sent, should be clear about what
happens
1313 - ditto
1364 - ditto
