Subject: Re: [cti] Question Gathering: Relationship Preservation in Versioning (Implicit vs Explicit)

Marlon - a new version of an object for attribute fields changes should not lose all relationships from the previous version.

Removal of a relationship for implicit relationship is by marking the relationship as ‘ended’.

I have suggested that there is are two timestamps

a) occurred (or updated) - where the timestamp is when the relationship was created
b) ended - where the ended timestamp is when the relationship is no longer active

I was proposing that these timestamps may be best in a common base class as these two timestamps are important for sightings also.

I'm hoping this thread will serve as a venue for members to post their questions on the topic and that the TC/SC/mini-groups/etc would be able to provide answers to those questions, possibly in a FAQ.
