EU NIS Directive published

Hi Rich et al.,

Europe's NIS Directive - the counterpart of the
U.S. Cybersecurity Act of 2015 - was just formally
published.  It is substantively identical to the
informal version adopted in December and used
in the "deconstruction" analysis comparing it
with the U.S. Act.

The ENISA experts group on the NISD pointed
out that OASIS' CTI specifications can meet
many of the requirements of the Directive,
and one of the challenges going forward will
be to facilitate - to the extent possible - use
of the same standards under both legislative
mandates for cybersecurity threat intelligence
sharing.
