All, Same request for this proposal…please respond with whether you generally agree, disagree and think we should keep version, or agree but want some other changes. We had a good discussion on the working call
on this topic and from what I could tell most people were in favor of the change. Personally, I agree with making this change and support it as-is. It simplifies conceptually how versioning works (by having fewer attributes) and means one fewer field for each STIX object. See the attached deck for intro. Proposal: Remove version number and rely on created/modified timestamps to provide the versioning information. Rationale: Implementers more easily can generate versioning. I made changes to Part 1 and Part 2 (not attached). If anyone wants to see Part 2 changes (primarily changes to STIX objects property tables to be consistent with change to version property) let me know and
