STIX and TAXII 2.0 CS

After two public review periods for STIX and one for TAXII we’ve had drafts now that (in our assessment) do not have any material changes. That means we can now proceed to vote on a Committee Specification. Committee Specifications are approved by the TC and confer IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) protections per the OASIS IPR policy (https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/ipr). The only step remaining is a ballot, which must be approved by a Special Majority, meaning 2/3 of voting members need to vote yes and no more than 1/4 can vote no.

 

To that end…I move to approve the Chair request that TC Administration hold a Special Majority Vote to approve STIX 2.0 WD03, contained in https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=61074&wg_abbrev=cti as a Committee Specification. I further move that the TC affirm that changes have been made since the last public review, that the changes made are documented in https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=61076&wg_abbrev=cti and that the TC judges these changes to be Non-Material in accordance with the definition in the OASIS TC Process (http://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process#dNonmaterialChange).

I’m going to be sending out another e-mail later today to open up a ballot on internationalization as well. The internationalization ballot will be open for the same time period but is related to development for STIX 2.1. I’ll provide more info in that email.
