I would therefore argue against making any of the changes being discussed above in 1.0. Rather, let's get 1.0 out asap, and then we can start discussing changes for post-1.0. (I do note that Erik has suggested both "Conref and XInclude" and "link target rendition context ambiguity" could wait to post-1.0. Erik seems to want the data tag in 1.0, but I would argue that it, too, should wait to post-1.0.) paul
