Subject: RE: [dita] Final xml:lang proposal
1. Why can't xml:lang be added to the dita root element? 2. As a vendor: I don't intend to require my end-users to specify xml:lang. If there is a local businses rule requiring it then I would be glad to help them enforce it (this can easily be done through editing of our templates), but I'm not going to require every document used within a single monolingual company to set the attribute ("just in case"). > -----Original Message----- > From: Gershon L Joseph [mailto:gershon@tech-tav.com] > Sent: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 10:09 AM > To: dita@lists.oasis-open.org > Subject: [dita] Final xml:lang proposal > > Hi all, > > Here is the final xml:lang proposal, edited to remove > references to Unicode. > > Best Regards, > Gershon > > --- > Gershon L Joseph > Member, OASIS DITA and DocBook Technical Committees Director > of Technology and Single Sourcing Tech-Tav Documentation Ltd. > office: +972-8-974-1569 > mobile: +972-57-314-1170 > http://www.tech-tav.com >
