Subject: Re: New ITEMS: Proposals for Refinements to Learning and TrainingModules: Complete Pending Review
I have implemented the four approved refinements to the L&T modules as approved by the TC. The updated DTDs and schemas are in the main DITA 1.2 SVN repository (this is not their authoritative source location but as I didn't have access to those locations, I used the SVN repository so I could have good code control for my own work--we can remove those files from the SVN repository once they are integrated into the respective SVN and DTD source repositories used by Eric and Robert respectively). For the base interaction type module, I discovered that because the base content model for interaction would otherwise include lcQuestion, which is of course defined in the learningModule domain, I had to declare a new element type lcQuestionBase from which lcQuestion then specializes. This avoids having the base learningInteractionBase module depend on the learningModule, which would be nonsense. The only remaining open item is to update the ancestry spec for all the learningModule reference entries--they are all out of date with respect to the learningModule hierarchy before I made my changes, so they all needed to be updated anyway, but they all would have had to be updated as a side effect of adding the learningInteractionBase module so I will take that action as soon as I get a chance. I'm pretty sure I added references to the new element types everywhere they are required in the various language reference maps and "A-to-Z" topics.
