DOCBOOK-APPS: Index in print output

I observe the follwoing behaviour for Print Output using DocBook DSSSL
Stylesheets 1.70 and jadetex 3.5:

- <indexterm>s in 'normal' text (e.g. inside a <para>) work like 
  expected and produce an entry in den index with correct page numbers.
  The page number is 'active'.

- an <indexterm> inside a <title> creates an entry in the index but
  with '??' instead of the correct page number. 

Is there a known workaround?
