DOCBOOK-APPS: htmlhelp.xsl in docbook 1.50.0

A couple weeks ago, there was a thread entitled "DOCBOOK-APPS: Re: DocBook-xsl-1.49 and XALAN"
that started at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/docbook-apps/200203/msg00141.html
about array out of bounds errors from Xalan.

On March 21, Norm ended this thread saying someone should file a bug report
against xalan.

I'm getting those problems every time I try to compile htmlhelp.xsl with 
either one of several versions of Xalan.  Has anyone used htmlhelp.xsl
successfully with Xalan?

Has anyone filed a bug report?  Does anyone know if there is a version
of Xalan that works with htmlhelp?  Does anyone have any more info to add
to this thread that ended March 21st?  (Apologies if it's been posted to
the list and I missed it.)
