One caveat:
If you need to use text entities, then you will have to pass on XXE.   If 
you open a document that has text entity references with XXE, then it will 
replace each entity reference with the entity text.  When you save the 
file, you no longer have an entity reference, just the replacement text. 
It will warn you when you open the document, but there is nothing you can 
do about it.  Apparently the XML parser they use doen't have an option to 
preserve entity references.
