Docbook 5.0 stylesheets

In the readme for docbook5-xsl-1.72.0 the section on 'How these stylesheets were produced' says 
Each xsl file was processed with a Perl script

Do you think the script is general enough to convert another stylesheet,
like for example slides, and if so is it available  ?
