It's possible, but I don't know for sure. Maybe someone else can chime in
with information on this.

The DocBook XSL stylesheets are actively maintained and I think you should
give them a try. The stylesheets are available from SourceForge[1], and also
in packages for various Linux/Unix distributions. But I don't know if any of
those packages include something similar to the "jw" script in
DocBook-utils.

The definitive resource on how to use DocBook XSL is Bob Stayton's book
"DocBook XSL: The Complete Guide". It is available online[2], but I would
recommend purchasing the paperback or the e-book[3].
