Custom TOC frame

Hello,

I try to customize the "bk01-toc.html" file with the table-of-contents when generating HTML frames from a DocBook file.

Now I need to add a CSS class "mktree" to the topmost "ul" (I replaced "dt" by "ul"):

<p><b>Table Of Contents</b></p>
<ul CLASS="mktree">
<li><span class="preface"><a href="main.html#id393513">History</a></span></li>
<li><span class="preface"><a href="main.html#id395699">Preface</a></span></li>
...


How can I add this class to the TOC list?
My JavaScript (for handling the navigation) needs to find the topmost "ul" by an ID.
