I had a client raise concerns about this today (not my project but another  part of
the same group). Their concern was that enhancements would only occur
in the main DocBook schema. 

As Jirka said, right now Publishers is defined in terms of DocBook 5.0. When the
next release of DocBook occurs do we need to deliberately consider a Publishers
v 1.1?

I think it would definitely be useful (certainly for me - I'm modelling the
differences between Penguin's schema and Publishers next week).
