Subject: Re: DOCBOOK: [ #456174 ] Req: a <YearRange> within <copyright>
Norm, > http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=456174&group_id=21935&atid=384107 When you ask a question here like this, do you want followups to go to the list? Or to the SourceForge bug? I am just sending this to the list, but will add it to SF if that is where you want it. > Yann Dirson suggests that a yearrange element be added to copyright. > > The TC considered this and admitted to a certain amount of fudging in > practice, using <year>1999-2001</year>. This is less than ideal, but > what have other people elected to do when faced with this problem? I have done exactly what you mention: <year>1999-2001</year> I suppose something like: <yearrange> <year>1999</year> <year>2001</year> </yearrange> might be more elegant from an XML point of view, but I personally have not had an issue with doing it the way mentioned above.
