Subject: RE: DOCBOOK: Working with XInclude / xml:base / libxml v2.4.24 andabove
Hi Vyt > Or you can use 'strip-attributes.xsl' from profiling styles for > output of XInclude. Thanks for the suggestion, but my issue is specifically related to the fact that xmllint returns a non-zero exit status. Unless I am missing something (entirely possible :-) any solution related to the XSL stylesheets would happen too late in the process. Perhaps you mean that I should perform an XSLT transformation on the XIncluded text _before_ running xmllint. Not sure. Bob's suggestion to extend the DTD with <!DOCTYPE book PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.2//EN" "http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.2/docbookx.dtd"; [ <!ENTITY % local.common.attrib "xml:base CDATA #IMPLIED"> ]> appears to work fine for me.
