Subject: [dsml] Fwd: RE: DSML V2 Submission
All, Here is the response from Karl. Jeff - The URL needed will change between submission and final. I can make the dir Errata Directory and we could add errata.htm's as needed. Jeff, Christine, Rob, and Shon - Looks like we just need a simple statement in form of an email to the list regarding usage of the spec All - I will develop a two-part email ballot if everyone agrees to an email ballot. Winston: 1. How permanent? Our intent is to maintain web content long-term. Once a Committee Spec is approved as an OASIS Standard we'll move it to http://oasis-open.org/specs/ which we intent to be permanent. Until it's approved, however, the content will stay at the TC web page. Maybe you could use http://oasis-open.org/committees/dsml/errata - would that work? 2. No boilerplate for this. A simple statement in email from a company rep saying that the company is successfuly using the specification is sufficient. 3. No boilerplate for this either. Just send out a ballot to the TC, whether in a meeting or via email (assuming that your TC has previously voted to allow email ballots). Remember that approval of the spec requires 2/3, but the vote to submit to OASIS would only need a majority. I suppose that you could word the ballot so that both questions are decided by one vote ("approve as a spec and submit to OASIS...") but it would probably be cleaner to make it two separate questions. </karl> ================================================================= Karl F.
