Juan-Carlos, Thanks for this detailed point, counter-point. I think I can clarify most of the questions since they are all inter-related. The other goods news is that you have now convinced me to refer to the XAdES profile for the signature timestamp. I will take up this suggestion. However, I am not sure exactly how I should actually ref and import your schema. Do you have an .xsd yet ? Lastly we share the same concern with respect to passing in signatures to be timestamped in the Sign protocol. See other threads on the list. I assumed we all agreed that ReturnUpdatedSignature on the Verify when in fact we are not even doing a Verify is too fundamentally inconsistent and is a semantic mortal sin. I also assumed that we had consensus on performing timestamps of existing signatures on the back of the Sign protocol. Correct ?
