Subject: Re: [ebxml-bp] 1/5/2004: Late Binding ....

Anders,

Good observations. Interoperability and predictablity are
key needs - but so is flexiblity.

Can we have it all by combining BPSS and CAM techniques?

Also - having BPSS able to include in sub-BPSS sequences,
(again CAM is doing this too) - makes re-use and industry
wide processes much more attainable.

Using CAM in tandem with BPSS where the CAM template
is applied to the BPSS itself is an interesting notion that came
up at the XML2003 open house. We'll need to work up an
example and try this first - but it certainly looks very promising.

In line with your comments - the idea would be to have a
core BPSS that is the industry 'norm' and then allow people
to tweak it for local context - using a CAM template.

Theory says - unfettered changes is just chaos - but when
the changes are formalized via a context driven system
such as CAM - then it becomes a powerful way to
enable adoption by a broad community in a consistent
way.

Thanks, DW
