Subject: RE: [ebxml-bp] State Alignment and Web Services
Hi,
BPSS
can be related through a CPA (version 2.1) to a wsdl defined binding of a
portType (interface) to SOAP.
Version 2.1 is not done at the moment, though a
schema for 2.1 is available for investigation.
There
is no particular commitment of BPSS to any specific collaboration protocol or
delivery channel implementation that I am aware of.
BPSS
2.0 is planning on having some optional support for "abstract" wsdl (the
interface parts). BPSS does not care about wire formats, transfer protocols, or
URL endpoints so aspects of wsdl are at layers below the BPSS abstraction
level.
So
BPSS can be "carried on" WS _if_ the WS has the required quality of services
(such as reliable messaging, data confidentiality, data origin authentication,
non repudiation of receipt, and so on.) (BPSS has its own terminology for these
features).
I
thought IVI was using OAGIS BODs and that wsdl was not working in
a relevant way with BODs? That is, I saw a proposal that
they were just using empty wsdl:message typing with an "any" element
vacuously stated as the wsdl:type?
Thanks,
Dale
