I made some changes to your wording. My intent to was to make it clear that a responding activity has 2 functions: role binding and Document Envelope
Change from:
Responding Business Activity
Is a component of a Business Transaction that may be sent in a
Document Envelope by the Responding role; performed by a partner in a role that
is responding to a request for a business service. The Responding
Business Activity binds the roles to the associated business action
irrespective of whether or not a Document Envelope (and Business
Document) exists
Change to:
Responding Business Activity
Is a component of a Business Transaction that IS sent
by the Responding role; IT IS performed by a partner in THE role that
is responding to a request for a business service. The Responding
Business Activity binds the roles to the associated business action and
MAY or may not include a Document Envelope (and Business
Document).
Also I looked at Document Envelope in the glossary and it should be revised as:
Named representation of the business Document Flow; is always one Document Envelope for a Requesting Activity. Can be zero, one or more mutually exclusive named Document Envelope for Responding Activity. Each contains one Business Document and one or more attachments
My clearer may be muddying so please comment.
