Subject: Re: Sachs [ebxml-cppa-negot] 11/16/2002: Responses to Marty's Commentson Martin
Monica, Here are my replies to the your rejoinders on your comments on the negotiation specification. 5.2, Semantic negotiation: There are now statements that the negotiation algorithm is out of scope in both section 5.2 and section 14. 5.5, Intermediary: I have rewritten section 5.5 to state: - Negotiation through an intermediary (negotiation broker) is out of scope for version 1. - Negotiation through a message-forwarding intermediary that is not aware of the purpose of the messages can be used if its manner of use is supported by the MSG specification. "Business Process Specification": Per your suggestion, I have asked Brian Hayes for his view on substituting "business process specification" for "BPSS instance document". I have also changed a few instances of "BPSS instance" to "BPSS instance document." 13.15.2, Choreography of final CPA exchange: I have called Hima's attention to your comment and asked him to discuss with you. Attached two .gifs from BCP that I did not send earlier. Brian, You might note the question for Section 12.1.1 for using the term BPSS instance that CPPA-Negot refers to for an XML instance document. As well, check Section 13.15.2 for their open question on using an AcceptanceAck on a Response (Reference our previous BPSS/BCP/UMM discussions). Perhaps that may be appropriate, if the goal is to negotiate; however, I am not sure. I've attached the draft document for you to reference. Thanks.
