Subject: Re: [ebxml-cppa] FW: CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: Review/Feedback ofRosettaNet Trading Par tner Agreement (TPA) Draft

Dear Pete,

I have read through 'The XML Services module' of TPA specification roughly.

There are some tables named 'RosettaNet Technical Specifications' in this
draft. Contents of this table are technical items to be agreed between
Company A and B. I think contents (name of items and table structure) are
good to understand.

But I have following questions about this draft. Please give me some
comments.

1. What is relationship between 'The XML Services module' of TPA
specification and CPPA specification?

2. Is there any compatibility between 'The XML Services module' of TPA
specification and CPPA specification?
If some companies build an application system based on ebXML CPPA
specification, is this system interoperable to the other system based on TPA
specification of RosettaNet?

3. There is not any information about XML tags in 'The XML Services module'
of TPA specification. How do you think about XML instantiation in TPA
specification of RosettaNet?

Best Regards,
Yukinori Saito

I'd like to bring the attached announcement to the attention of this
TC's members, if you haven't seen it already. The RosettaNet TPA
Program group would appreciate any comments on the referenced draft
RosettaNet TPA. The XML Services module of that draft is especially
germane to ebXML CPP/A.

Subject: CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: Review/Feedback of RosettaNet Trading Par
tner
 Agreement (TPA) Draft
To:

Dear RosettaNet Partner:
RosettaNet, working with several key industry organizations, is pleased
to announce the initial release of a standard, industry-wide Trading
Partner Agreement (TPA) that addresses the legal requirements of
electronic information exchanges, and encourages Partners to participate
in the six-week review period beginning today, Oct. 22 and ending
Monday, Dec. 3, 2001. The TPA draft can be downloaded from the
RosettaNet Web site by going to: Programs, Foundational Programs,
Trading Partner Agreements, Trading Partner Agreement Draft Release. A
.zip file containing all TPA draft files and Supporting Documentation
file in .pdf format are available for download here.

Review of the TPA draft has been segregated into several modules to
facilitate review by Partners:

* General Legal Provisions
* Non-Disclosure Agreement
* Portal Services
* XML Services
* EDI Services

RosettaNet has created a Discussion Forum for each module and requests
that all Partner feedback be provided here. RosettaNet requests feedback
concerning both the form and the content of the legal and technical TPA
modules to be separately submitted for each TPA module. Feedback
provided through these Discussion Forums will be reviewed for possible
inclusion in future releases.

TPA Key Role Openings Still Open
The TPA Program continues to seek product managers to evaluate global
feedback and TPA improvement solutions with the TPA working group, and
legal experts to collaborate with the existing TPA working group to
decide on improvement solutions concerning the TPA legal provisions. If
you or a legal representative of your company is interested in
participating in this program, please review the Key Role Openings
section of the TPA Web page. The "Join a Program" link provides a
Participant Profile Form in .PDF that allows Partners to specify their
interest in this program. Completed Participant Profile Forms should be
e-mailed to Betty Fawcett at <mailto:betty.fawcett@rosettanet.org> as
soon as possible. Two roles per RosettaNet-supported region are
currently sought for these positions.

For additional information on the TPA Program, please contact Luca
Palermo, Program Director, STMicroelectronics, via e-mail at
<mailto:luca.palermo@st.com>. RosettaNet's press release announcing
the availability of TPA draft is also available on the RosettaNet Web
site: About RosettaNet, Press, RosettaNet Press Releases.

Thank you.
