I completely agree, Tomas.  Many of us in this field take
simplicity for granted, and we should make it a goal of
this effort.  I wil incorporate that requirement into the
document.

All, any other suggestions/comments?  I am starting to put
together a first DRAFT of the XML Schema for the protocol.
I hope to share that with the SC in a few weeks.
