ASN.1 and XML studies

I am way overdue in providing this information, but it is a major driver for
the use of ASN.1 in PKI-based systems.  I'd like to see some comparative
work done on C14n1 encoding as far as multi-vendor interoperability, along
with performance information.

This is somewhat older data and very PKI-centric, but I believe it has merit
for EKMI.

As soon as I can get the summary document out of our review process, I will
send that along.
