Subject: RE: [election-services] Public Review of EML v6.0 - 15 day review follow-up
Thanks for the responses. Thursday 29th
is the favoured day with a start time of 14.30 CET/13.30 UK/8.30 EST being the
best although for the West Coast that will not be good, ie 5.30 start. However this is only a provisional booking. If we get no
comments back on this round of Public Review then we can probably do the necessary
business of approving the next stage by email and electronic ballot. But
for now can you please put this date/time in your dairies and we’ll firm
up on it nearer the time. John From: John Borras
[mailto:johnaborras@yahoo.co.uk] I suggest we pencil in a TC call to review any comments received
from this review and carry out the necessary procedures for taking it to the
next stage, ie Committee Specification. Could you let me have your
preference of either Wednesday 28th or Thursday 29th July
for a call please. John From: Mary McRae
[mailto:marypmcrae@gmail.com] On Behalf Of Mary McRae To OASIS members, Public Announce Lists: This latest version of EML v6.0 incorpoarates a number of
comments and suggestions for changes arising out of the first Public Review.
They include correcting a number of inconsistencies in the XML schemas,
accommodating new requirements for USA based elections and providing a data
model to support and explain EML. The Election and Voter Services Technical Committee's
objective is to standardize election and voter services information using XML.
The committee is focused on delivering a reliable, accurate and trusted
XML specification (Election Markup Language (EML)) for the structured
interchange of data among hardware, software and service vendors who
provide election systems and services. http://docs.oasis-open.org/election/eml/v6.0/cd02/EMLv6-PR2Changes.pdf http://docs.oasis-open.org/election/eml/v6.0/cd02/EML-v6-schemas/ Mary P McRae Director, Standards Development Technical Committee Administrator OASIS: Advancing open standards for the information society email: mary.mcrae@oasis-open.org web: www.oasis-open.org twitter: @fiberartisan #oasisopen phone: 1.603.232.9090 [1] http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200910/msg00011.html |
