Subject: PHER listed as an interested party with the EC EMS Patient Care Report maintenance project

Good afternoon.

A few weeks ago, Jay Lyle notified the HL7 PHER co-chairs of the Project Scope Statement (PSS) for EMS Patient Care Report maintenance project that EC has initiated. PHER agrees that this work seems to be closely aligned with OASIS work, so they have voted to have PHER listed as an interested party with that effort. As the acting co-chair of the OASIS Tracking of Emergency Patients (TEP) Subcommittee, I am reaching out to the EC to let you know about this PHER vote and to initiate a collaborative dialogue.

PHER and the OASIS TEP will be working through a few remaining ballot comments and finalizing the HL7/TEP mapping over the next few weeks. I expect that it would be advantageous to consider the EMS Patient Care Report in that effort. What do you see as the most productive avenue for an exchange of information/ideas?
