Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (EMIX-511) PAP03 Req #41: apparentgap/needs validation; "any market"

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/EMIX-511?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=26917#action_26917 ]

Edward Cazalet commented on EMIX-511:
--------------------------------------

The EMIX price information model is based on a number of elements such as intervals, locations, quantity, price, currency, etc. that are clearly universal. These terms are used in different ways in virtually all markets where at least two parties are participants. We are using the language of business commerce which is nearly universal. Products may carry different names in different markets but the defined elements of each product enable understanding.

EMIX is extensible so that markets and products not yet envisioned can use EMIX. Single party systems may not find EMIX to be as useful.

I recommend this issue be closed.
