Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (ENERGYINTEROP-681) Definition of Transaction inconsistent with EI

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/ENERGYINTEROP-681?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=80643#comment-80643 ]

David Holmberg commented on ENERGYINTEROP-681:
----------------------------------------------

line 19, "An energy transaction for delivery of a quantity of an energy product during a time period at a location creates a position (See section 10) for each party".

line 299 Table 2-2 "A Transaction is created by the Market to record a contract when a tender to buy and a tender to sell are matched. Both parties are notified of contract creation."

BTW, this doesn't seem to fit with a double auction.Â

EI doesn't really define a transaction clearly. Section 2.5 says, "there is aÂtransactionÂto purchase or supply, generally from the acceptance of a tender."ÂBelow this is the same section, "Priced Offer: a forward offer to buy or sell a quantity of an energy product for a specified future interval of time, the acceptance of which by a counterparty results in a binding agreement"âwhich is like an indirect definition of tender and transaction.

> 4. The definition of a Transaction in the Proposal is different from TEMIX for no apparent reason.
